PROVIDENCE

IT IS APPOINTED

I have missed very few appointments in my life but some people are notorious when it comes to missing things that they have scheduled. When Youth with a Mission first started several friends of mine from college in California made a stop over in Arlington, Texas on their way to an early YWAM TRIP to the Caribbean. I remember it was extremely hot night and they stayed with us for one night and they were delayed for one day before they could continue their travels. I had to work that day but I will never forget what happened that evening. The team had a scheduled meeting that night and I gladly went with them to the planned service.

I have learned over time that God can use events to emphatically speak to us in ways we never forget. It is in these times I choose to suggest, WE ARE ONLY ONE REVELATION AWAY FROM A BREAK THROUGH. I was very new in the things of the Spirit. You could say I was green, but that night would be forever imprinted in my brain.

I had worked hard that day, excited my college friends were there with us, and elated about the entire situation. Suddenly, while fighting to stay awake, I had an unusual mental vision. I saw in my minds eye the bluest river you could ever see. I was stunned because the river had no banks, just grass, as green as the color blue river that I was seeing. I told the Lord, "LORD, I can't keep my mind on you for anything." At that point the Lord spoke to me in a significant way. He said, "That means something to you." I said, Lord, if that means something to me, bring it back." Immediately, the vision of the river banked by the greenest grass on both sides you would ever see, appeared to me. I said, "Lord what does this mean?" The words were hardly out of my mouth, when a woman gave a message in tongues, like you find for reference spoken of in 1st Corinthians, chapters 12 through 14. As quickly as the message came forth, a man gave the interpretation (it was not a definition, but an interpretation). The interpretation marked my life. Out of it came my divine obligation, mandate, and deep down inside, everything I would ever become. MY SHEEP ARE HUNGRY FOR THE GOOD GRASS THAT GROWS BY THE RIVER OF LIVING WATERS. I was 21 years old and to this day that revelation still is profoundly active in my heart. The river still is flowing and the grass is still growing for me to lead God's sheep into, like a shepherd would day after day, time after time.

You may ask is that all there is to the story. The answer is "NO", not by a long shot. You remember the team was delayed a day and did not make it in time to leave Florida as scheduled, the boat they would have taken the day before, SANK, with 20 or so people losing their lives. PROVIDENCE spared my friends young lives.

Yes, there is an appointment; "It is appointed for man once to die and after that the judgment." HEBREWS 9:27

PROVIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH,
PROVIDENTIAL APPOINTMENT WITH JUDGMENT, ARE YOU PREPARED?

Providentially yours,

Cleddie Keith
