When you think about it, we are just a baby nation compared to many other nations. If you ever travel to Europe, you will see buildings and landmarks that date back to and before the days that Jesus walked the shores of Galilee. I have actually visited the Coliseum in Rome where Christians died for their faith. They were fed to the lions and fought for their lives against Gladiators.
Have you ever thought about the word Gladiator, comes from Gladius which means sword, hence swordsman. The writer of Hebrews speaks of the believers double edged sword, taking a fresh look at this passage found in Hebrews 4:12, we can all be encouraged. "For the Word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to the dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart." Think about it - I do my thinking out loud often when I am studying.
FOR THE WORD OF GOD - THE STUDY OF THE WORD OF GOD IS THE SECRET DISCIPLINE THAT HAS FORMED THE GREATEST OF CHARACTERS.

ALWAYS REMEMBER WHEN WE SEE HIM, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM
AND HE IS LOVE, HE IS MERCY, HE IS GRACE, HE IS PASSION,
HE IS LONG-SUFFERING, HE IS FORGIVENESS,
HE IS THE EMBODIMENT OF EVERYTHING HOLY AND HE LIVES INSIDE OF YOU.
