It is with anticipation we face another school year in Heritage Academy. The year of 2026-2027 stands in front of us like a road to be traveled. All of those who have been involved in the remodel of the campus are to be appreciated and those who have been a part of this process before are rejoicing in regard to the sweat equity that has been given to improve our facilities. Thanks are in order for so many who have donated, painted, scrubbed, mopped, waxed, dusted, power washed, changed lighting, discarded furniture, thrown away books, greeted new parents and students and especially those who have joined with our Heritage Prayer Team; praying for the providential blessings of God on this years student body.
On Sunday we are going to pray for our new administrator, Kevin Berry and for the staff that joins with us for the new school year.
In the past we have described our ambition to offer the students and their families a Christ Centered Education. Andrew Bonar said this to another generation, which is as powerful today as the day he first said it, "My one ambition is to know Christ and this one aim simplified my whole life."
The work done this summer is a good illustration, of what I make mention of when I speak of MOVING PARTS. A poem I remember from one stanza, I am often reminded of, "SHINE LIKE A LIGHTNING BUG IF YOU CANNOT BE A STAR,"
This summer people were shining and "God is not unfaithful to forget your work and labor of love."
We hold the line for our families in regards to the curriculum, from the earliest ages to our graduates. Our desire is to see the world of every child expanded as we continue to teach and impart through our lifestyles and the lives we live on a daily basis before them, what it means to walk with the Lord.
Our vision for the school is like any GOD GIVEN VISION, it requires:
In the past few weeks I have stopped by to speak with Kevin and those who I speak of as those who are moving toward our deadline of September the 8th. They were working so hard their shirts could not even hit their backs. I have driven by at mid-night only to find people painting and laying flooring in our Academy offices.
I want also to take time to introduce our School Board:
