The Intercessor

A few years ago, I was in again in Great Britain for a conference. Dave Jones and I, with a few friends, felt as though we should take day trip to Swansea, Wales. I am not much of a tourist; if I go to a nation, I am there for one reason: to preach the Gospel. My friend Paul Mercy said, "Cleddie can go through London faster than you can turn the pages of a book."

On this certain day, it was as though we were on a mission. Our destination was THE BIBLE COLLEGE OF WALES House of Prayer. From 1936, through to the end of the second World War in 1945, Rees Howell, (known as "The Intercessor") and his band of intercessors would gather several times a day in what was affectionately known as "The Blue Room" to pray for the defeat of Adolf Hitler and his allies. Each time events in the war took a vital turn, the Holy Spirit would reveal it to Rees. Then, these mighty men and women would pray accordingly. It is said that Winston Churchill acknowledged that the power of prayer from that "Blue Room" turned the tides of war. When we arrived, we were met by our friend Colin Hurt who graciously took time out of his day to give us a tour and share the history of the campus.

This is 2021. I have joined with the several prayer warriors in the Heritage Fellowship Prayer Room. The sense of the tangible presence of God has invaded our gatherings. It is as though the spirit of the "Blue Room" and 24/7 Houses of Prayer has joined us. Our current prayer times in the Heritage Fellowship Prayer Room are as follows:

Monday-Thursday: 5:00AM/12:00PM/6:30PM
Friday: 5:00AM/12:00PM
Saturday: 12:00PM

I believe in you,

Pastor Cleddie
