I have spoken with several people who have shared with me their disappointments and fears dur-ing the past few months. I can understand their fear and dismay. Job gives us his spin on Leviathan in the book of Job chapter 41; in verse 22, he allows us to join with him for a look see.
"In Leviathan's neck resides strength, and dismay and terror dance before him."
We need to make sure our eyes are transfixed on Jesus because He and the Father are One.
"The more you think about Jesus, the more you think of Him." H.C. Trumball
It appears that the adversary has diverted our attention to dismay and terror that dances before him.
GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU
Be not dismayed what'er betide,
God will take care of you.
Beneath His wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.
God will take care of you,
Through every day, o'er all the way.
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you.
No matter what may be the test,
God will take care of you.
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
God will take care of you.
God will…
THE OPPOSITE OF GREAT HOPE, IS GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT
Proverbs 13:12 The Message "Unrelenting disappointment leaves you heartsick, but a sudden good break can turn life around."
The word dismay is a good Bible word, and it is used many times to help us have our own victory dance. There are several forms of "fear" which express a wide range of emotions.
Feelings such as dread, distress, dismay, trouble, terror, horror, alarm, awe, respect, reverence,
and admiration may all appear as "fear" in Scripture. We are not to fear the one who can destroy
only the body, but Him who can destroy both body and soul in hell. The fear of the Lord is a good,
positive, motivating quality, which produces wisdom. We all should realize, and often rehearse,
this powerful truth: GOD HAS NO ADVERSARY BECAUSE HE HAS NO EQUAL
David, the Psalmist, said in his consternation, "Every man is a liar." It is always good to read the
context of a passage like this, Psalms 116: 6 The Lord protects the simple; when I was brought
low, he saved me. 7 Return, O my soul, to your rest, for the Lord has dealt bountifully with you. 8
For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. 9 I walk
before the Lord in the land of the living. 10 I kept my faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted";
11 I said in my consternation (dismay), "Everyone is a liar." 12 What shall I return to the
Lord for all his bounty to me? 13 I will lift up the cup of salvation and call on the name of the
Lord, 14 I will pay my vows to the Lord in the presence of all his people. 15 Precious in the sight
of the Lord is the death of his faithful ones. 16 O Lord, I am your servant; I am your servant, the
child of your serving girl. You have loosed my bonds. (You have set me free to serve you.)
Hope is the tonic that ignites faith to take hold of the impossible. We are a demonstration of our
faith and what we believe. Hope is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost, and ours is a resurrection hope.
Once again, I want to thank you for your participation with us in work of God. We could not be
what we are without you. I want to express my appreciation for all of those who have been
working to complete the remodel. It is wonderful to have such incredibly gifted people among us
who rose to the challenge and made things come together. Our desire to win (succeed) is greater
than our moments of challenge.
I believe in us,
