The Battle Is Not Over Until You've Won

Dearest Friends in Harvest,

This week I thought I would share a throwback from the 90’s. Truth is truth, and what was true 30 years ago is still true today. Looking back and looking forward, the message is still the same!

Your pastor and friend,

Thanking you for your investment in souls, through the moving parts of Heritage Fellowship.

The Battle Is Not Over Until You've Won

Today is your promised day of victory. David had developed a worship and victory spirit while he kept his father Jesse's sheep in the lonely desert solitude.

Bob Buess, who has been our guest on several occasions, is a great faith preacher. He recommends: Learn to sing the word of God. Keep a melody flowing out of your spirit. This keeps your soul clean and fresh. You may feel awkward at first but once you develop a melody, it will flow and flow. Practice abiding in the word of God.

Psalm 34: 1 "I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Prov 27:21 "As a firing pot for silver and a furnace for gold; so is a man to His praise."
Psalm 74:12 "Let not the oppressed return ashamed, let the poor and needy praise His name."
Psalm 67: 5-6 "Let the people praise Thee, then all the earth shall yield her increase; and God, even our own God shall bless us."

What Do We Learn From These Scriptures?

  • Let praise, VICTORY praise, be in your mouth instead of a negative report.

  • Praise purges and purifies just as a furnace will purify gold.

  • The oppressed break the oppressor's yoke through praise.

As we yield to joy and worship and praise in our lives, we draw God into our lives. As we yield to negative influence and complaint, we draw in the influence of the enemy. The Battle is the Lord's And It Is Not Over Until We Win!!
