WELCOME TO THE FALL AND THE AUTUMN WIND WITH A NIP IN IT,
When the sun came up Saturday Morning my phone was going off non-stop, I turned on the television to see Benjamin Netanyahu, telling the people of Israel, WE ARE AT WAR.
What we have seen in the last few hours is more than saber rattling. It is an invasion of a sovereign Nation, and that nation is the key to Biblical End Time Prophecy. This is a replay of what we have read in the Old Testament repeatedly, Israel being invaded by bordering nations. If you have been watching the news, remember it was on this border where the giant Goliath cried out, “Give me a man to fight with.” The breach of the walls took place at Gaza this weekend. There was a slaughter, which took place at a concert on Saturday. Men, women, and children were casualties. Many were taken captive. It is sad to say that it is like the story in the book of 1 Samuel:1-4:
And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;
And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
So David and his men came to the city, and, behold, it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had no more power to weep.
I have felt deep in my spirit what I can only describe as the grieving of families who have been victimized by this incursion. It is something I cannot shake, an unsettled passion which will not go away.

In Psalms 122:6-9 we read:
6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you [holy city].
7 May peace be within your walls And prosperity within your palaces.”
8 For the sake of my brothers and my friends, I will now say, “May peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God [which is Jerusalem], I will seek your (the city’s) good.
The greeting often heard among the Jewish people is shalom, which encompasses “wholeness, unity, and harmony—something that is complete and sound … prosperity, health, and fulfillment.”
This kind of hope-filled Shalom makes up the heart of the worshiper’s “fourfold wish” in Psalm 122:
1. Security from outside attackers (safety from war) (verse 6).
2. Unity and harmony among the residents of Jerusalem (verse 7).
3. Familial wholeness and health (verse 8).
4. Economic, religious, and political prosperity (verse 9).
There are three things to watch; keep your eye on the Temple Mount, Damascus, and Syria if this conflict continues. Then read what Dr. Luke writes in Luke’s Gospel chapter 21:20, he left us a note.
“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know and understand that its desolation has come near.”
This initial invasion of Israel has been from Gaza. However, we need to watch and see if other actors are poised to enter the platform of war. The abomination of desolation will happen when the anti-Christ comes to offer something other than the blood of Jesus for sins sacrificed upon the Temple Mount. The Temple Mount has been desolated 13 times throughout history. There is not a more desolated place on earth than right in the middle of Jerusalem. To those you know who are cold and indifferent to the things of God, it is a good time to warn them of things to come.
