Revival Thoughts

Good morning, afternoon or evening, as you find yourself, reading this weekly letter of hope,
faith and love.

Revival is on my heart as I write to you one early morning. I want to take a different approach
to my thoughts on revival. It is my conviction that the time we live in demands revival, creation
is groaning for the fresh winds of revival to blow once again. As a church we long for what we
call an outpouring and we long for the heavens to open upon us, corporately.

Now let me put things into perspective for those who have never really experienced revival of
supernatural measures. The attitude of the hour is that, without realizing it, we have become
enamored by natural laws and by this we have found God and ourselves living in a culture
where God is trapped by His own laws. I for one serve the God who is the true Master of the
Universe. As I have read and studied the Bible I have learned that our Sovereign Lord is not a
prisoner in His own house. He is the God who can turn the lights off and on at will. He is already given us a menu to read in regard to how He can do this,

In Ezekiel 32, verse 12, He says, "I will Plunder the Pomp of Egypt" and by what means shall he
undertake to do this?  Verses 7 and 8 give us the answer:

7 "When I put out your light,
I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark;
I will cover the sun with a cloud,
And the moon shall not give her light.
8 All the bright lights of the heavens I will make dark over you,
And bring darkness upon your land,""
Says the Lord God.

This is not the only time God has put His hand on the light switch. Those who do not know there is a God who can turn out the lights are fueling the demonstrators on university campuses in past and in the present. 2 So Moses stretched out his hand toward heaven,
and there was thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days. 23 They did not see one another; nor did anyone rise from his place for three days. But all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. Exodus 10:22-23

Joel speaking of The Day of the Lord once again informs us of these events:

"Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining."  Joel 2:10

What follows is a call to repentance as you can read in these verses:

12 Therefore also now, says the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting,
and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is
gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil.
14 Who knows if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind Him.

Yes, God has His finger on the light switch. I believe this with all my heart therefore I believe
in Miracles. Those who do not believe it, find themselves in the dark and groping around in the prison of their own delusions. They think God is subservient to His own rules and regulations. Yes, God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all but there is another equation to consider found in the book of 2 Corinthians 4:4:

"In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."

Revival is when the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ shine upon those who are blinded
minds of men and women learn that the God who has His finger on the light switch, turn the
light on.

Have you written the names of your families and friends on the "Holy Ghost Hit List" located on the front right-hand side of the sanctuary? We are praying with you for your loved ones and
standing in agreement with you that God will send what is called the hounds of heaven after
them.

Yours for your friends and loved one's eternal redemption,
