What a beautiful morning! Oh, what a beautiful day! This is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. I am already into my day, early on a Monday morning. It is not a Blue Monday; it is in fact a day to rejoice in and a day of opportunities. Remember, you prophesy your day with the first words you speak when you get out of bed in the morning. Go back, lay down, get up again, and start your day right. Just think, God did not sleep, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
This morning an old song is playing over and over in my spirit, and it is a good one. You more than likely have never heard it; however, it is a song written by a lady evangelist I knew back in the early sixties. It goes like this:
Communication is so much a part of who God is. He named His Son the Logos and the Rhema which means:
Logos, The Greek word logos (traditionally meaning word, thought, principle, or speech) has been used among both philosophers and theologians. Check this out; the Hebrew Bible gives us the Greek definition as well and uses the terms rhema and logos as equivalents and uses both for the Hebrew word DABAR, as the Word of God. I like the ancient Greek defining of the word: From Ancient Greek λόγος (lógos, "speech, oration, discourse, quote, story, study, ratio, word, calculation, reason"). Through His son, God chose to reveal Himself as the Word of God. Have you ever wondered how Adam and Eve communicated? There could be a lesson for husbands and wives in the story of the fall of man, The only record we have of them not communicating the way they should, led to the fall itself.
I read about a man who was an alcoholic, and his wife made him go to the doctor to see what his problem was. Of course, he did not want to go, saying he did not really have a problem with drink. So, with her encouragement, he finally yielded to her threats (communication). The doctor told him he was going to have liver problems, cognitive problems, and a whole list of issues, if he did not immediately quit his drinking.
The doctor told him he had syncopation. The wife did not know what this meant, so she went upstairs to look up the word in the dictionary. It is a musical term that means, the erratic leaping from bar to bar. It also is a medical term that describes the drop in the blood flow to the brain.
God is not slack concerning His promise, He watches over His Word to perform it. His Word will not return unto Him void. His Word is like a fire shut up in our bones. His Word can run and have free course. His Word is a shield to us, the Glory and lifter up of our head. He spoke His Word and healed you and brought you back from the brink of death.
The Lord Himself addresses this issue in John 12:47-50:
He holds everything together with His Word!!!
Hebrews 4:12-13
I often ask God to speak to me even though I know that I don't have to, because God is always speaking. It may be that I am not always listening. I love Isaiah 50:4:
God communicates with us that we may be able to communicate His encouragement to those who need to be sustained by His Word. I hope this is a sustaining word for you today.
Talk with your God today; He is listening.

This morning an old song is playing over and over in my spirit, and it is a good one. You more than likely have never heard it; however, it is a song written by a lady evangelist I knew back in the early sixties. It goes like this:
Talk with your God
In secret on bowed knees
Talk with your God
And He will hear your pleas
In tender tone
He beckons unto Thee
Talk with your God
And He will talk with Thee
Communication is so much a part of who God is. He named His Son the Logos and the Rhema which means:
Logos, The Greek word logos (traditionally meaning word, thought, principle, or speech) has been used among both philosophers and theologians. The Lord Himself addresses this issue in John 12:47-50:
"If anyone hears what I am saying and doesn't take it seriously, I don't reject him. I didn't come to reject the world; I came to save the world. But you need to know that whoever puts me off, refusing to take in what I'm saying, is willfully choosing rejection. The Word, the Word-made-flesh that I have spoken and that I am, that Word and no other is the last word. I'm not making any of this up on my own. The Father who sent me gave me orders, told me what to say and how to say it. And I know exactly what his command produces: real and eternal life. That's all I have to say. What the Father told me, I tell you." (The Message Bible)
He holds everything together with His Word!!!
Hebrews 4:12-13
"God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon's scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one can resist. God's Word. We can't get away from it—no matter what."
I often ask God to speak to me even though I know that I don't have to, because God is always speaking. It may be that I am not always listening. I love Isaiah 50:4:
"The Lord GOD has given Me [His Servant] the tongue of disciples [as One who is taught], That I may know how to sustain the weary with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple [as One who is taught]." (Amplified Bible)
God communicates with us that we may be able to communicate His encouragement to those who need to be sustained by His Word. I hope this is a sustaining word for you today.
Talk with your God today; He is listening.
