THE RICHEST VIRGIN GIRL THAT EVER LIVED, CARRIED A TREASURE SO PRICELESS THAT MONEY COULD NOT AFFORD IT.
Overlooked truth is often the basis for revelation missed or misunderstood. I mentioned on Sunday the 8th of December, Doctor Luke was a vessel God used as he penned both the Gospel of Luke and The Acts of the Apostles. It is of interest to me that Luke penned both these books which opened with recognition of the Holy Spirit's influence in the narrative, concerning the incarnation as well as the birth of the early church.
How is it that so called "scholars" can believe in the birth of Jesus, knowing this was required by prophecy as the Virgin birth of our Messiah and His vicarious atonement for mankind? They being aware as well of the demand on His life for His impeccable lifestyle, which means the highest standards of behavior. Christ, the Sacrificed Lamb of God, required an examination demanding He be without spot and blemish.
Now in that Luke's Book, inspired by the Holy Spirit, so aggressively emphasized the Holy Spirit's integral work in the Gospel, how is it possible to suggest that the Holy Spirit's work would subside during the work of those who have continued on throughout the ages? My question would be, what does the verse, Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever mean? Do you think that the book of Acts in Greek is named Praxeis Apostolon, with the idea that the Acts of the Apostles would have an end? If so, why is there no benediction in the Book of Acts? The miraculous Birth of Jesus was supernatural, and the Birth of the early church was also supernatural.
Brother Ravenhill on one occasion told a group of us Pastors, "Brethren, we know the Gospel is true because it has survived such poor preaching."
The moving of the Holy Spirit on Mary and the fire of God falling on the 120 on the day of Pentecost, is all the affirmation I need to believe The Gospel of Luke and The Book of Acts is a positive detail, directing our attention for sufficient need to pursue, line upon line, precept upon precept and quest of Dr. Luke's supernatural story line.
It takes me back to Psalms 51 and David's prayer of repentance:
Yes, Jesus is more than, "the reason for the season," He is the reason for, "Come now let us reason together, says the Lord, Lord though your sins be as scarlet , they shall be white as snow and though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."

It takes me back to Psalms 51 and David's prayer of repentance:
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David; when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bathsheba.
1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to Your steadfast love; according to the multitude of Your tender mercy and loving-kindness blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash me thoroughly [and repeatedly] from my iniquity and guilt and cleanse me and make me wholly pure from my sin!
3 For I am conscious of my transgressions and I acknowledge them; my sin is ever before me.
4 Against You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and faultless in Your judgment.
5 Behold, I was brought forth in [a state of] iniquity; my mother was sinful who conceived me [and I too am sinful].
6 Behold, You desire truth in the inner being; make me therefore to know wisdom in my inmost heart.
7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean [ceremonially]; wash me, and I shall [in reality] be whiter than snow.
8 Make me to hear joy and gladness and be satisfied; let the bones which You have broken rejoice.
9 Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my guilt and iniquities.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.
11 Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit.
13 Then will I teach transgressors your ways, and sinners shall be converted and return to You.
14 Deliver me from blood guiltiness and death, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue shall sing aloud ofYour righteousness (Your rightness and Your justice).
Yes, Jesus is more than, "the reason for the season," He is the reason for, "Come now let us reason together, says the Lord, Lord though your sins be as scarlet , they shall be white as snow and though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
